An experimental search for topology in condensed-matter physics

The experimental discovery of three-dimensional topological insulators in the beginning of the 21^st century has made the promise of topological materials a realistic pathway currently being pursued worldwide. In particular, the combination of strong electronic correlations and non-trivial topology presents a novel paradigm with the possibility of unprecedented experimental realizations. In this talk, I will present an overview of my group’s recent search for experimental signatures of topology in condensed-matter systems.
