Título: The search for low mass dark matter by means of counting electrons.

Resumo: After several decades of searching for dark matter particles with mass ~100 GeV, we are now casting a wider net. The recently demonstrated skipper-CCDs with ability to count single electrons with minimal noise are a unique new tool in the search for low mass dark matter. I will discuss the current status of the electron counting skipper-CCD technology, and its applications.  Including low threshold experiments for dark matter and neutrinos, as well as photon starved imaging in QIS and astronomy. I will also discuss the challenges and ongoing R&D effort for developments of the next generation experiments using this technology.
