The IFGW graduate program holds selection processes for admission in Master's and Ph.D. courses twice a year. The Master fellowship have the duration of 24 months and the PhD fellowship have the duration of 48 months. The accepted candidates may receive scholarship from the program depending on their classification on the selection process. In Brazil you can apply for the PhD program without a previous Master degree, but also you can apply after finishing the Master program.
The potential advisor and the candidate could also apply for a scholarship from the funding agency FAPESP, that it’s the more prestigious fellowship in Brazil. The FAPESP scholarship application may be submitted even before acceptance in our program since proof of registration is required only in the latter stage of the fellowship installation.

Registration of accepted students
Attention: This semester the enrollments will be carried out remotely and the details were sent in the acceptance letter by email.
The registration of accepted students is carried out by the Graduate School secretariat, according to the university-s public calendar.
Documents required for Brazilian Students

Documents required for Foreign Students
International students: should enroll in the Graduate Secretariat, must attend the DAC Foreign Student Service Sector with certified copies or simple copies accompanied by the originals of the following documents:
- Passport with the page with the photo
- Page of the passport containing the visa
- Passport page with entry stamp
- National Migrants Registration Card (CRNM) or visa registration protocol or scheduling for registration with the Federal Police.
If the candidate has a permanent visa, the presentation of a valid CRNM will be sufficient.
After attending the DAC and to register, the new student must sent to Physics Graduate Office the following documents (on the days and times mentioned in the Edital):
- Undergraduate diploma* (exceptionally, this can be temporarily replaced by the Undergraduate Completion Certificate)
- Brazilian Taxpayer Registration (a. k.a. CPF)
Those entering the doctorate: it should include the master's degree diploma or certificate of completion of the master's degree. If the candidate is looking for a PhD without having a Master Degree he should inform this in the application form.
After enrollment, international students must upload the documents on the DAC website, in the Academic Management System (SIGA> Documents> Upload student documents).
* The duly registered Graduation diploma must be delivered at least 60 (sixty) days before Dissertation or Thesis defense.

In the case of a re-entering student (who has already enrolled at Unicamp previously), attendance at the DAC Service is also necessary.
Attention: According to DELIBERATION CEPE-A-21/2021 of 12/07/2021
All students must present proof of compliance with the complete COVID vaccination, under penalty of canceling their enrollment at the University.
This proof must be submitted on the DAC website > Student > e-DAC, in the Covid-19 Vaccination field.
Registration renewals
According to the university calendar, students must renew their registration on a semestral basis after the initial registration.
